What type of classical/piano music would you recommend?

I love the sound of the piano, and was just wondering what type of piano pieces or classical music would be great for listening. An idea of what I like so far is something like Fur Elise or Moonlight Sonata by Beethovan and something modern like River Flows in you by Yiruma. I really dont care for the sound of an orchestra in the background. But i wouldn’t mind like a violin in the background. Thanks!

  1. Papagena says:

    Agnes

    Piano Concerto #3 – Rachmaninoff
Romance in B Flat – Faure
    Piano Concerto #21 – Mozart
    Berceuse – Chopin

Basically anything by Chopin or Debussy would be great. And by the way, Yiruma isn’t classical.

    Kurt

Mozarts sonata for violin and piano in e minor
Beethovens Piano Concerto No 5 “Emperor”: 2nd movement
Tartini’s, Devil’s Trill Sonata (Sonata for violin and piano in g minor. it is a violin piece but many recordings have a piano accompaniement)
    Chopin:
    Nocturne 8
    nocturne 1
    revolutionary etude (or etude 12)
nocturne in c sharp (from the movie “The Pianist”)
    raindrop prelude (or prelude 15)
All those listed under Chopin are Chopin’s JUST SO YOU KNOW
